The sixth annual 20/20 Photo Festival will showcase the diversity of contemporary photography through exhibitions, artist talks, demonstrations, workshops, and hands-on public events—all free and open to the public. This year's theme, Structures invites artists and audiences alike to explore, represent, and challenge the physical, social, and conceptual structures that shape our lives and our art. A core mission of the Festival is to make photography accessible and welcoming to all, and this year’s programming continues that tradition by providing opportunities for the community to experience photography in fresh, engaging, and inclusive ways. The week of events runs from Thursday, September 4 through Sunday, September 11, 2025, with programming taking place at various locations across the city including KieranTimberlake, The Halide Project, Cherry Street Pier, Unique Photo, and The Frances M. Maguire Museum.

Rooted in a deep respect for the craft of design, Designers House creates space for thoughtful conversation, fresh perspectives, and real connection. We bring together creative minds—whether you’re building brands, designing pixels, leading teams, or just starting out—for afternoons filled with good energy, honest dialogue, and a shared love for the process. This isn’t about polished portfolios or chasing trends. It’s about honoring the work behind the work: the thinking, the tinkering, the effort, and the breakthroughs. Designers House is a place to slow down, open up, and reconnect with why you started creating in the first place.

At an archaeological dig site in Philadelphia, graduate students sift through the ruins of a boarding house once run by Alice Tierney, a 19th-century sex worker who died under mysterious circumstances. As they discover new artifacts and clues to her history, each student imagines their own version of Alice. Was she an early feminist? A manipulative femme fatale? Or someone more complex than they can imagine? Join us for the Philadelphia premiere of a hometown story!

While it might be unconventional to gather amongst others to scream, there’s opportunity to connect with others without judgement, processing emotions amongst others, with knowing that relief and affirmation is on the other side. The collective scream will start off with some guided breathing facilitated by Glimmers founder Karyn to ground us all before we begin to scream. The meeting point will be at the Boathouse at FDR Park. Since it’s a park and it’s still hot, be sure to wear sunscreen, bug spray and take your allergy medicine.

An evening of ghosts, grudges, and genre-blurring brain fog. Join artist and filmmaker Abigail Bruley for a one-of-a-kind screening of The Main Trilogy—three surreal shorts about grief, memory, and emotionally overcooked family dinners. It’s weird. It’s darkly funny. It’s cognitively askew. Starring punk icons Ted Leo and Marisa Dabice of Mannequin Pussy, and featuring a score by the legendary Sun Ra Arkestra, the trilogy takes you on a strange ride between life, death, and whatever’s left in between. As Disability Belongs put it: “An extremely insightful anthem about choosing to release normative social constructs and just embrace life as it comes.” “Every moment of the viewing an adventure.” Also partying: 🎭 Sketch comedy from The Incredible Shrinking Matt & Jacquie 🎬 Shorts from the mastermind crew members of Main Trilogy 🎧 Tunes by DJ Julie Gerstein 🍺 Beer brewed and provided by Meeting House Watch the trailer here: https://vimeo.com/1077318843
September 21, 2025 | The Rotunda, West Philadelphia | 1–7 PM The event will gather artists of all backgrounds and disciplines to share diverse reflections on human carnality—the vital force that unifies, animates, and sustains us as a species. DO NOT DISTURB affirms that liberation concerns more than libido: standing not just for the agency to enjoy our bodies, but the agency to govern them—undisturbed by state or social coercion. This year’s event has partnered with the Abortion Liberation Fund of PA (ALF), with 100% of admissions proceeds dedicated specifically to covering procedure costs for those traveling to PA from forced-birth states. This year has seen our civil liberties under active fire, in a federally commissioned shock-doctrine campaign designed to engineer our isolation, division and imagined helplessness. DO NOT DISTURB aims to channel creativity, community, and carnality into a tangible response, offering an example of defiance, resilience and a collective celebration of human vitality. Join us September 21, 2025, at The Rotunda in West Philadelphia for an afternoon of art, performance, and smut with social purpose. IG: @donotdisturb_phl
