In 2010, Jacques and Annie started their vineyard. It is situated on half a hectare of sandy loam soil with a gentle west-facing slope on the south flank in the valley of the village of Westouter. In 2013, they produced several promising wines for the first time, including the Pinot Auxerrois. The Heuvelland wine estate De Vallei operates entirely using biodynamic methods according to the teachings of R. Steiner.
