Cytely

Cytely is a Lund-based deeptech startup transforming conventional microscopes into real-time data analysis platforms using AI. Its hardware-agnostic smart-microscopy software eliminates manual bottlenecks in biological research, enabling scientists to produce statistically valid results in minutes instead of months. Founded in 2023 as a Lund University spin-out, Cytely raised €3 million in October 2025 led by Ugly Duckling Ventures, with adoption at leading research institutes in Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Singapore, and San Diego.
