Öresundskraft is Helsingborg's municipally-owned energy company and one of the most innovation-active utilities in Sweden. The company operates the Orienten testbed — a unique regional platform for developing next-generation energy solutions together with partners — and is leading Sweden's first municipally-owned carbon capture and storage (CCS) project at its Filbornaverket combined heat and power plant. The project received €54M from the EU Innovation Fund and SEK 30M from Industriklivet, and is central to Helsingborg's goal of becoming climate-neutral by 2030. Öresundskraft is a key industrial innovation anchor in the Helsingborg Innovation District.
