ITALIAN: Nate’s is as far away “across town” it can be from our house. 35 minutes and 20.2 miles away in fact. But it’s worth every minute to get there because is high-quality, handmade Italian food your Nonna makes. It’s really a little hole-in-the wall in a strip mall with maybe 6-7 tables inside. They serve traditional “Italian-American” staples and have daily specials as well. The portions are GINORMOUS…the lasagna can feed four people or you alone for several days. This is a family-run operation and everyone who works there are just lovely people. You can also BYO win bottle and drink it with your dinner for free. Because of the size of their space, they have a robust take-out clientele.
