Galleria Montale is a former railway tunnel that once formed part of the San Marino train line which connected the republic with the Italian town of Rimini. The tunnel stands on the slopes of Mount Titano and it is one of the remaining structures from the early twentieth century railway project. Although the train no longer operates the site is preserved as a piece of industrial heritage. Visitors can see the entrance of the tunnel and learn about the ambitious plan that once linked San Marino with the coast by rail.
