Korgah is a unique, women-run carpet weaving center in Gulmit, Gojal, Upper Hunza, established in 2005 by a group of 18 local women. It has gained wide recognition for its beautifully handcrafted carpets, created by skilled female artisans. The center was initially established in 1998 by the Karakoram Area Development Organization (KADO) to empower Wakhi women by providing them with economic opportunities.
