A 19th century foodmarket, restored and reopened in 2022. its neoclassical façade opens into a bustling interior where local vendors sell fresh produce, flowers, seafood, and traditional Portuguese specialties. (Come hungry, get some snacks and a glass of wine) More than just a market, Bolhão is a daily ritual of Porto life, where generations of merchants and shoppers converge, offering a vibrant, sensory glimpse into the city’s culinary and cultural heritage.

The museum was designed by renowned architect Álvaro Siza, who led the rehabilitation of Monte da Lapa (our wedding venue). There is a great restaurant on the grounds as well, but reservations are highly recommended.

**CLOSEST HOTEL TO WEDDING** ~7 min walk A beautiful, modern, full-service hotel with all the amenities. It’s slightly removed from the bustle You won’t find many restaurants within a quick 5–10 minute walk (think more like 15–20 minutes), but Ubers are easy and readily available.
