Stare Miasto is the historic Old Town of Warsaw. It was almost completely destroyed during the Second World War and later rebuilt with great attention to detail. Because of this careful reconstruction it is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The area has colorful townhouses lively squares and important landmarks such as the Royal Castle and the Market Square.
