Fred Casey started slinging hot dogs from a four-stool horse-drawn wagon in 1890, and four generations later, his family still serves them from a ten-stool Worcester Lunch Car Company railcar that's barely bigger than a boxcar. The steamed hot dogs—famous for their snap—are prepared in the same classic equipment inside this National Register-listed diner, where oak counters worn smooth by 130-plus years of elbows and the original mosaic tile floors transport visitors to an era when diners rolled on wheels.
