A six-foot fiberglass pig named Baron Von Swine stands guard outside this Hell's Kitchen dive bar, which snagged one of the first liquor licenses issued after Prohibition ended and has been slinging cheap beer and free hot dogs ever since. Founded by German immigrants Ewon and Helen Rudy, the bar still pours drinks behind the original mahogany bar, custom-made for $300 on the Bowery. Walk through the original wood door carved with the Rudy family name and grab a seat in a duct-taped red leather booth where everyone from Al Capone to Anthony Bourdain has knocked back a cold one.
