A red, white, and blue beach shack on Montauk Highway, this Hamptons landmark earned its nickname from the giant "LUNCH" sign that towers above the road. Frederick H. Terry Sr. and his father Richard C. Terry Sr. took over in 1965, perfecting the cold lobster roll that put the spot on the map and later drew cameras from Showtime's The Affair. Regulars still line up for the same retro counter service and mayo-dressed lobster meat piled into a toasted bun.
