New York City's oldest operating butcher shop, Staubitz Market has served Cobble Hill since 1917, when German immigrant John Staubitz first opened its doors. Now owned by the McFadden family for over five decades, the shop retains its original tin ceilings and sawdust-strewn floors while supplying hand-selected USDA Prime beef, specialty game, and traditional cuts prepared with century-old butchery techniques.
