Piccolos is a family-owned Hoboken institution established in 1955 by Joseph Spaccavento after he immigrated from Molfetta, Italy, and is now run by his son Patty. The restaurant is famous for its cheesesteaks made with hand-sliced prime rib, American cheese, and fresh bread from a local bakery, along with Italian-American dishes like homemade soups and meatball sandwiches served in an old-school atmosphere complete with Frank Sinatra on the jukebox.
