The Tewksbury Inn • 1800

When stagecoaches rumbled between Philadelphia and Hackettstown in the early 1800s, weary travelers stopped at this former hotel in what was then New Germantown. More than two centuries later, the inn still anchors Oldwick's historic district, serving New American fare in its formal dining room and rustic tavern. The elegant summer terrace and exposed wooden beams recall the era when horses were watered and travelers rested beneath these same rafters.
