Buddy Lamonica took a gamble on a desolate stretch of Sheepshead Bay in 1970, and Roll N Roaster became Brooklyn's fast-food roast beef temple. The motto says it all: 'You can have cheez on anything you pleez' — and generations have taken that promise seriously, piling melted cheese onto tender roast beef sandwiaps and crispy cottage fries. Now owned by longtime employee Eric Rodriguez, the nautical-themed landmark still cooks every order fresh, just like Buddy intended.
