In the heart of Bensonhurst, the Barbati family has been serving their famed square Sicilian slices since 1939, each one topped with tangy sauce ladled over melted mozzarella to keep the bottom impossibly crisp. The original location on 86th Street draws crowds to its outdoor garden seating, where trays of upside-down pizza share tables with cups of house-made spumoni in stracciatella, pistachio, and cherry. On summer nights, the line stretches down the block for a taste of old Brooklyn.
