After a 25-year slumber, this Avondale corner tavern returns with 26 cocktails at $12 each and Old Style on draft—the only beer worth pouring, according to bartender Nick Kokonas, who meticulously restored the 1940 Polish dive where Mitchell and Edwin Kaczmarek once served factory workers beer, cigarettes, and a daily meal from Irene's tiny kitchen. The original bar, tin ceiling, and blue-painted windows remain, now paired with vintage finds and photos of the Kaczmarek family hung along the back wall.
