Marion Tremble dreamed up the Original Stuffed Cheeseburger when she and her husband Dudley transformed a Westwood gin mill into The Iron Horse in 1972, creating a railroad-themed gathering spot that's trained over 7,000 cooks in the art of concealing molten cheese inside perfectly seasoned beef. Alongside the railroad-tie fries, the burgers have fueled over five decades of late-night crowds near the Pascack Valley train tracks. Bruce Springsteen ate here, but so do the regulars who return year after year for that hidden pocket of cheese.
