When Dr. Andrew Jackson Borroum walked out of a Union prison camp in 1865, he opened what would become Mississippi's oldest continuously operating pharmacy — still run by his descendants seven generations later. The slugburger, that Depression-era invention of deep-fried meat and soy flour, has become a Corinth institution here, served alongside phosphates and malts from the working vintage soda fountain.
