Thin, loosely packed patties sizzle to crisp-edged perfection on the same flat-top grills that founder Charles Convery first fired up in 1935. Now nearly nine decades in, fourth owner Steve McDonald still hand-cuts the American cheese and churns milkshakes with Potts ice cream, serving named burgers like the Peg (fried onions, bacon) and the Bunny (raw onion, tomato, mustard) on griddle-crisped buns. Order three or four—they're slider-sized, and nothing else will do.
