The first Jamaican bakery in what was once an Italian and Jewish Bronx neighborhood, Kingston Tropical has been hand-rolling its legendary beef patties since 1970. Manager Caroline Sinclair still insists on scratch-made dough sweetened just enough to temper the Scotch bonnet heat, with fresh thyme and green bell peppers in every bite.
