The Flores family turned a modest stone house on North Court Avenue into the nation's oldest continuously family-run Mexican restaurant in 1922. Monica Flin allegedly invented the chimichanga here—a happy accident involving dropped burros into hot oil—and it remains the signature draw alongside carne seca and topopo salads made with Sonoran techniques. The rooftop drying racks still cure beef in the desert sun, just as they did a century ago.
