A ten-stool counter draped in neon along Church Avenue, this all-night diner has slung chili and Cheesy Westerns since 1930, when founder Nick Bullington brought the recipe back from a San Antonio hotel during his days as advance man for Ringling Brothers circus. Four generations later, the family still runs what Roanokers call the Millionaires Club. Step up to the counter at 3 a.m. and you'll understand why this place never closes.
