Anthony Basile and his aunt and uncle opened this legendary sub shop in October 1946, and it quickly became a magnet for everyone from Frank Sinatra to The Beatles. The Italian sub and White House Special are still made with the same dedication to quality meats that built the shop's reputation nearly eight decades ago. Today, the Basile family's children carry on the tradition, turning out subs that draw lines around the block on Arctic Avenue.
