Gary Zarrillo bought and restored a vintage hot dog truck in 1992, launching what would become Connecticut's most celebrated roadside hot dog stand. The New London-style dogs arrive piled with house-made relish, sauerkraut, and bacon — a combination that earned national attention and a fiercely loyal following. Co-owned by Gary, Lorin, and John, the stand still draws lines down Black Rock Turnpike for those gourmet dogs and fresh-cut fries.
