Sawdust floors, free popcorn, and a vintage griddle that's never been replaced—this Tahitian-themed dive bar steps from Venice Beach has served its World Famous Cheeseburger since sailor Joe Larson returned from working as an extra on Mutiny on the Bounty and opened the place in 1962. Jim Morrison drank here in the '60s, the same grill still flips burgers today, and the stained glass windows Larson designed still glow above regulars shooting pool.
