Warren Tavern • 1780

Paul Revere himself drank here. Rising from the ashes of Charlestown after the British torched the town in 1775, this tavern welcomed George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and the Freemasons who shaped a new nation. Today, the colonial-era dining rooms still serve clam chowder and lobster rolls beneath hand-hewn beams that have stood since 1780.
