Cisco's Restaurant Bakery & Bar • 1950

Rudy "Cisco" Cisneros opened this East Austin landmark in 1950, and three generations later his grandson Matt still serves the migas and huevos rancheros that draw politicians, musicians, and early risers to the same formica tables. Recognized as a Texas Treasure Business in 2019, the bakery counter displays pan dulce and conchas made fresh daily. The breakfast tacos arrive on house-made tortillas, still warm from the kitchen that has fed Austin for over seven decades.
