Brothers Freddy, Vincent, Tony, and Al run the Dyker Heights pizzeria their father Peter Palazzolo started in 1967, winning Battle of the Borough at the 2005 New York Pizza Expo and earning legendary status for their Grandma slice—thin-crust Sicilian topped with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, and basil. Freddy still holds court at the original 13th Avenue location, where Brooklynites return decades later for the same pizza they remember eating as kids.
