This shallow, sandy spot is perfect for stepping out of your kayak, relaxing, and swimming. ⚠️ Renter Tips: Watch out for sudden rolling mud flats as you approach the shallows so you don't get stuck. Motorboats crowd this area on weekends, so stay alert for heavy boat wake and keep your kayak tucked safely away from the main channel.
DO NOT APPROACH. Stay clear of this northern boundary area. Water releases from the hydroelectric station create sudden, extreme currents and rapid water level fluctuations that can easily capsize a kayak or paddleboard. Always stay downstream of the safety buoys.
Water depth drops significantly here, especially during dry seasons. Watch out for hidden sandbars, tree stumps, and exposed rocks just below the surface.
