They survive on memberships and donations of old house parts that they then sell here, and you can find so many great house parts that it boggles the mind. But that's OK, because any question can be answered patiently and knowledgeably by the volunteer experts, who can tell you about the histories of even the most obscure baubles, gewgaws, doodads, and gadgets.
