45min: This is a weathered sandstone and ironstone outcrop that resembles an Egyptian Sphinx. The "Pictorial Guide to the Blue Mountains" in 1882 refers to "The Sphinx". You can walk direct, or you can visit as part of the Grand Cliff Top Walk. It's a great spot to visit, just take EXTREME CARE going up and down the track. From Cliff View Lookout, continue on for about 200m to where the track levels off after some steps, and there is a seat ahead of you. On the left, you'll see the steep goat track going straight up. Follow that for about 50m and you have arrived.
