Port Vauban in Antibes is one of the largest marinas in the Mediterranean and is known for its mix of historic fortifications and modern yachts. Visitors can walk along the quays to see traditional fishing boats beside some of the biggest private vessels in Europe. The famous Bastion Saint Jaume stands at the edge of the port and offers a good place for photos or a quiet break with a view of the sea. From the docks it is easy to start a coastal walk toward the ramparts of Vieil Antibes or enjoy a simple stroll while watching the activity of the harbor. The port is especially atmospheric in the late afternoon when the light reflects off the water and the surrounding hills.
