Cassis is a small Mediterranean town framed by bright cliffs, turquoise water and a sheltered harbor filled with colorful boats. Visitors wander through narrow streets that open onto sunny squares where cafés serve local wine and seafood. The town is also the gateway to the Calanques, a series of dramatic limestone inlets where people hike along coastal paths or take boat trips to swim in clear coves. The pebble beach beside the port offers easy access to the sea which makes it a pleasant place for a relaxed afternoon. As the light changes in the evening the cliffs glow softly and give Cassis a warm and inviting atmosphere.
