Saariselkä is a well known resort area in Finnish Lapland surrounded by fells forests and open Arctic landscapes. It offers skiing hiking cycling and many other outdoor activities throughout the year. The village has a peaceful atmosphere with easy access to Urho Kekkonen National Park. Saariselkä is also a popular place to watch the Aurora Borealis thanks to its high latitude and clear dark skies.
