Karlštejn is a small town southwest of Prague. The castle above the town is one of the most famous in Czechia. It was built as a royal fortress. The village below serves tourism. Walking paths lead up to the castle. Tourism is focused on day trips. Karlštejn is closely connected to Prague tourism.
