The Marjan Viewpoint is one of the most beautiful lookout spots in Split offering sweeping views of the city, the harbor and the deep blue Adriatic Sea. Located partway up Marjan Hill the viewpoint sits above a quiet terrace surrounded by pine trees and fresh coastal air. From here the entire Old Town unfolds below with Diocletian’s Palace, the Riva promenade and the curved shoreline all clearly visible. The islands of Brač, Šolta and Hvar appear on the horizon and on clear days the colors of the sea shift from bright turquoise near the shore to darker blue further out. The viewpoint is easy to reach by following the Marjan Hill Stairs or by taking a relaxing walk along shaded paths that wind through the forest. With its peaceful atmosphere and remarkable scenery the Marjan Viewpoint is a favorite place for both locals and visitors to pause, rest and enjoy the natural beauty of Split.
