Women at the Cap Table (WATCT)

Founded in 2019 with an initial portfolio of eight investments, Women at the Cap Table , WATCT invests in startups that believe in a value driven culture. They recently launched their first pooled fund in January 2024. Katie McLean is the Founder and Managing Director of WATCT, an expert start-up growth strategist and angel investor with a background in big tech such as Google and Oracle. They are a diverse team of 24 female investors from Calgary, Toronto and Vancouver and they welcome all women who share their values to join them in the WATCT 2024 fund. WATCT invests in early stage startups (both female and male led) that meet their criteria for both people and revenue growth. They believe that if companies start by creating a purpose driven, collaborative and inclusive culture they will grow to be more productive and profitable while creating an atmosphere where everyone thrives.
