Leopoldsberg is a historic hill in the north of Vienna and it rises above the vineyards at the entrance of the Danube Valley. The hill offers beautiful panoramic views over the city the river and the surrounding hills. At the top there is a small Baroque church and the remains of old fortifications which give the place a historic and atmospheric character. The paths leading up the hill pass through forests and vineyards which makes it a popular route for hikers and nature lovers. Leopoldsberg is quieter than nearby Kahlenberg and it is an excellent spot for peaceful walks scenic photography and sunset views.
