Augarten Park is one of the oldest Baroque parks in Vienna and it is located in the Leopoldstadt district. The park features long tree lined avenues open lawns formal gardens and historic buildings that create a peaceful atmosphere. Augarten is also known for its two large concrete flak towers which stand as striking reminders of the Second World War. Within the park you can find the porcelain manufactory Augarten Palace and cultural institutions that host concerts exhibitions and events. It is a popular place for walking relaxing and enjoying green space close to the city center.
