Sant Joan de Caselles is one of Andorra’s finest examples of Romanesque architecture. Located in the parish of Canillo, this small 11th to 12th century church is surrounded by mountain landscapes and has a peaceful, traditional atmosphere. The building features a distinctive stone bell tower and beautifully preserved frescoes inside, including a famous depiction of the Crucifixion. The church offers a glimpse into Andorra’s medieval heritage and is a popular stop for visitors interested in history, culture and Romanesque art. Its scenic setting makes it one of the most photographed churches in the country.
