1.5km walk return: Park near the Gardens of Stone sign. Dobbs Drift is a historic mining access and now a scenic lookout area just north of Lithgow, NSW, associated with the former State Mine and the pagoda country on the Newnes Plateau. You'll be treated to stunning pagoda formations and an incredible lookout. Today, the name most commonly refers to Dobbs Drift Lookout on State Mine Gully Road, an unfenced vantage point giving easy vehicle-accessible views back over Lithgow and the dramatic sandstone pagodas of the Gardens of Stone landscape.
