Come join me and other Service Academy women for a light hike around Griffith Park! On Sunday, 19 October, we'll gather on the West sidewalk near the lawn for a photo before we do a hike in the surrounding hills. This event is family- and pet-friendly, so bring your loved ones. The observatory is open (so is the cafe!) so we can opt for a snack before/after/instead if that's the preference. Parking is free along the route up the hill, and there's paid parking at the top. Note: the lawn is closed for renovation, but we'll meet West of the Astronomers Monument in front of the Observatory. (West you say?, Yes!, the side which looks out at the Hollywood sign).
